About YoureGrand.ie
We think you should keep your money.
Living in Ireland is expensive — and it shouldn’t take hours to figure out what help, support and genuinely free stuff is out there. YoureGrand.ie is a simple directory of freebies across Ireland: free food and essentials, events, classes, software/tools, toy swaps, and baby & family supports.
We’re independent, Ireland-focused, and we try to keep everything clear, current, and easy to browse by category, county, or map.
Why we built it
We started this site because we were tired of “money-saving tips” that didn’t help much, and “freebie” pages filled with irrelevant offers. This is the opposite: practical, Ireland-relevant, and designed to be quick to use.
Ireland-first, practical
We prioritise offers and supports that apply in Ireland, and we label items clearly so you know what you’re clicking.
Community, not charity
Whether you’re using a food bank, joining a free class, or picking up baby support, you deserve respect — no stigma.
Clean & calm by design
We aim to keep the site fast, readable, and low-noise. No “download our app” walls — just the information.
The “You’re Grand” promise
- Genuinely free path: we focus on things with a real free option (not “free… after paying”).
- Transparent links: we try to point to official sources or reputable organisers.
- Kept current: we periodically check for dead links and welcome reports when something changes.
- Privacy-respecting: we avoid spammy patterns and keep data collection minimal.
What you’ll find on YoureGrand.ie
- Free food initiatives — community meals, surplus food projects and food support.
- Family & baby supports — grants, welcome packs/samples, and practical supports for parents.
- Events & culture — free gigs, museum days, workshops and local festivals.
- Classes & learning — free community learning, online resources and skill-building.
- Software, tools & freebies — legitimate free tools, trials and discounts with a clear free route.
How we keep it trustworthy
We try to keep a clean, fast and reliable feed of opportunities. When we add items, we aim to:
- Cross-check sources where possible (official pages, councils, reputable platforms).
- Explain the “free” clearly (who it’s for, what you get, and any limitations).
- Remove broken links and update listings when they expire or change.
- Use community reports — if you submit something, we review it and improve it over time.
